In Loving Memory of Lisa G.

Lisa was more than the founder of our studios — she was the heart, energy, vision, and soul behind everything we do. Lisa passed away on November 13, 2025, but her passion, strength, and light will continue to shape the foundation of Lagree213.

As the Lagree Method evolved over the years, Lisa remained deeply committed to its core principles. She believed that an intentional flow, paired with fast transitions and sustained time under tension, created the most powerful and transformative Lagree workout. Her vision was proven through the results our clients achieved under her guidance and through the team of trainers she tirelessly mentored. That standard of excellence continues to guide how we teach, train, and show up for our community.

Our community meant the world to Lisa, and we honor her at Lagree213 every day. She lives on in the shakes, in the strength we build together, and in the community that brought her so much joy.

Lisa built more than a studio — she built a community and a standard of excellence. Her greatest hope was that everyone who walked through our doors would feel at home.

Kayla

Kayla

Level 3 Master Trainer & Lagree213 Head of Trainer Development • Kayla’s active lifestyle started as a competitive dancer in her youth. The importance of consistency, form, and dedication started then. She has always found a way to move her body but once she found the Lagree method nothing else compared. She fell in love with the high intensity and form focused 45 min workout and the rest was history. Kayla was an independent hairstylist while teaching Lagree part time, and eventually gave up hairstyling to become a full time Lagree trainer and the Lagree213 Head of Trainer Development. As the Head of Trainer Development, she assisted Master Trainer Lisa Goldsman with Lagree Level 1 certifications. Following the certification, Kayla was responsible for the Trainer Mentorship program that helped to coach new Lagree Trainers allowing them to become a stronger instructors before auditioning with the goal of eventually getting a block on the schedule. Kayla now is a Level 3 Lagree Master Trainer, leading the Level 1 certifications at Lagree213, while continuing to lead and educate our existing trainers. Kaylas favorite part about teaching Lagree is seeing her clients have their “light bulb moment,” an understanding about how one small adjustment can change the whole exercise, and make it that much more effective.
Lizzie

After a career change turned her world upside down, Lizzie joined the Lagree213 team as a Front Desk Concierge. Over time, she began applying her business skills and now supports Lagree213 as the Chief Operating Officer. Inspired by working alongside the team of trainers and while deepening her own personal practice, Lizzie decided to get certified as a Lagree213 instructor. Lizzie’s teaching style is both encouraging and challenging, motivating you to push your boundaries and achieve new goals each day. Clients frequently compliment and request her energizing and inspiring playlists.

He believes so strongly in the effectiveness of the method for building more strength, increasing muscle tone and getting better cardio, that he decided to pursue trainer certification in 2022. His main goal as a trainer is to lead by example: he will challenge you to work hard towards reaching that satisfying threshold of mind and body transformation that he has discovered through Lagree. When he isn't designing, working out or teaching, Alec enjoys old-school activities like reading books and taking photos with a vintage camera.

A New Yorker born and raised, Liv grew up a dancer. After establishing a professional dance career, she developed a debilitating eating disorder with aspects of exercise addiction. She came to California to attend treatment, and to gain her life and freedom back. It was in Los Angeles that she found Lagree and immediately fell in love with the unique method. Gradually growing out of love with dance but recognizing her innate ability to teach, she followed her passion for Lagree and became a certified trainer — and the rest is history. She connected deeply with the method, seeing the positive impacts on both her physical and mental health. Stephanie believed so thoroughly in the method that she wanted to share her passion with others, so she earned her certification in 2022. Kristin

Kristin

Kristin found her love of group fitness as the only 15-year-old in a sea of 30 and 40-year-olds at step classes at the YMCA in Corpus Christi, TX. She was hooked, and went on to teach cardio and fitness at the University of Virginia, and became a cycling instructor upon moving to the City of Angels, before stumbling into pilates reformer training. In addition to Lagree, Kristin is certified with MadDog Athletics, Schwinn, AFFA, the Equinox Pilates Program, TRX, and Inka suspension training. You may have heard her cough, mumble, or clap on a number of television shows, and she has written 4 middle grade holiday adventure chapter books. Her Lagree classes are not known for being easy; she is a stickler for form, and with both music and exercise, she likes to mix things up. She believes that although fitness may not cure all the world’s evils, it is a good place to start.
Carolyn

Carolyn

Los Angeles born and raised, Carolyn has always loved the motivation and community that comes with group activities/workout classes such as dance, volleyball, hiking, yoga, barre, boxing, etc. Unfortunately, she dislocated her left knee and tore her meniscus while playing competitive volleyball. Struggling to find a high intensity but low impact workout that was injury friendly and did not involve quick turns, twists, or jumps, Carolyn took her first Lagree class in 2022 and instantly became addicted. She got certified a year later and commits herself to constantly creating a safe space for community, growth, strength and encouragement in all her classes! Her favorite music to play while teaching ranges from upbeat r&b, hip hop, dance, and house.

Searching for a workout that matched the intensity and fulfillment she found as a collegiate athlete, Dyani discovered Lagree and knew it was the perfect fit. Dyani loves curating fun and challenging routines, always accompanied by her favorite hip hop and R&B artists. Her vibrant energy shines through her routines, motivating clients to push their limits and leave the studio feeling stronger and more energized. When she’s not teaching, Dyani enjoys spending her time pet sitting and exploring Disneyland, always ready to bring that joy back to the studio.

Whether you're new to Lagree or a seasoned pro, expect a high energy, motivational class that will keep you coming back for more.
Michael S

Michael S

It was 2018, and Michael was innocent; he had never experienced Lagree before. He walked into the studio feeling confident and capable, until then the instructor led him to a contraption that looked like something out of a science fiction movie. “This is going to be fun!” the instructor told Michael. She was wrong. Michael was led through a series of exercises that were designed to torture every muscle in his body. It was borderline kinky. He was glad the music was so loud because he was actually moaning. Never had he been physically challenged this much. But once class was over? He understood the hype. Nothing else has proved as mentally gratifying as Lagree. He is so excited to share the experience with you .
Julia

Julia

Julia is a Lagree instructor with over 3.5 years of teaching experience and a professional dance background. She discovered Lagree through physical therapy after a back injury and was immediately drawn to the method’s ability to build strength in a controlled and effective way. Known for her intentional programming and attention to form, Julia creates classes that are both supportive and challenging, helping clients move with control and confidence. Her classes are athletic, focused, and empowering - designed to leave you feeling strong, capable, and accomplished.
Annie

Annie

Annie took her first Lagree class in 2023 and was instantly hooked. She explored many studios before finding Lagree213 where she began to take on a part-time concierge position. She entertained the idea of getting certified to practice her public speaking skills and trained under the late Lagree213 studio owner and Master Trainer, Lisa Goldsman. Annie’s warm and personable energy will leave you feeling taken care of and push you to work to your fullest potential. When Annie is not doing Lagree, she’s either thinking about her second dinner, running, or volunteering in Chinatown.
Noelle

Noelle

Noelle first fell in love with the lagree method back in 2014, when she was working as a nanny and free lance writer in Los Angeles. It wasn’t until after her daughter was born that she decided to get certified and become an instructor herself in 2024. Not only did this career pivot allow her flexibility in her schedule and more time at home with her family, but working in the lagree community and helping clients achieve their fitness goals has brought her more joy and fulfillment than she could’ve ever expected. While her classes are always challenging, she aims to make lagree accessible for everyone, providing a friendly, welcoming environment and an upbeat and encouraging attitude. Ever the optimist, Noelle believes “you can do anything for 15 seconds!” and her class will challenge you to push yourself and make the most out of every workout.

Her mission is to help others become stronger—physically and mentally—while fostering a positive, inclusive fitness environment.
Jenny

Jenny

As someone who previously focused solely on strength training at the gym, Jenny discovered Lagree after taking her first class at Lagree213 and instantly fell in love with the method. After about 2 years of taking classes as a client, she decided to pursue her Lagree certification, driven by a passion to share the method she loves and deepen her understanding of the power of slow, controlled movement. Jenny’s teaching style is both challenging and supportive as she motivates clients to push past their limits while always emphasizing proper form and mindful movement. Her favorite type of music to play during class are House music, Hip Hop, and 2000s bangers. Outside of teaching, she loves attending live music events, trying new coffee & matcha spots in LA, and traveling.
Oscar

Oscar

Oscar’s Lagree journey began in 2023. He had been an avid cyclist, and frequented heated mat pilates classes prior to finding Lagree. After attending his first Lagree session with his best friend he was hooked. Oscar found a new form of concise strength training, that enhanced his mental endurance and motivation for consistent self-improvement. Inspired by his self-transformation from the method, Oscar decided to get certified in Nov of 2024 to better understand, expand, and impact the community that shaped his wellbeing. Oscar’s classes are meant to test your limits with encouragement. “It’s you against you in this room; change happens when you challenge yourself to be 1% stronger every day. Each day may look different, but find strength in movement you can maintain.”
